May 11 – Dinner Theater at the Barn in Goodfield, IL
I know this is Mother’s Day weekend, but let’s celebrate the ladies in our lives!, exit 54 at 10:00am. We will start our Saturday morning by meeting in Oglesby, off of Route 39. From there we will travel to El Paso and visit a Classic Car Museum that buys, restores and sells old classic cars. They specialize in helping classic car and hot rod lovers find their dream car or truck. Then we’ll head somewhere for lunch. After lunch we will visit the Home Away Homes facility. They are a custom home builder and will design a new home that fits your life by finding out what is important to you, your family and lifestyle. After the 90 minute tour, we’ll head over to one of our club members, Chuck Riggert, house. Chuck has a great collection of cars, firetrucks, machinery, engines, toys, collectables, etc. After our visit at Chuck’s we’ll head over to the Barn Theater for a great dinner and comedy show, Nana’s Naughty Knickers. This show is about Bridget and her grandmother who are about to become roommates. However, what Bridget saw as a unique opportunity to stay with her favorite Nana in New York for the summer quickly turns into an experience she’ll never forget. It seems her sweet Grandma is running an illegal boutique from her apartment, selling hand-made naughty knickers to every senior citizen in the five borough area! Will Bridget be able to handle all the excitement? Will her Nana get arrested – or worse, evicted? And on top of the great show, there will be a Mother’s Day Tribute “Hats Off to Mom” and there will be a hat contest! So wear your BEST HAT and maybe win a special Mother’s Day Surprise! The show will be over about 10:00pm. If you’d like to spend the night, you can reserve a room at the Holiday Inn Express or Park Inn by Radisson at the Morton, IL exit 102. Less than 10 miles from the Barn Theater.
Cost of the Dinner Theater is $45 per person. Please email BonnieB at firstname.lastname@example.org by April 10. Hotel information:
