The Pit

What a perfect car show! While the weather is usually something people watch as they get closer to a car show date, no one could have anticipated how absolutely perfect the weather made this day. Under sunny skies and white clouds, over 100 cars total came to the annual Mopars Invade Roanoke Car Show!

Our good friends (and club members) at Roanoke Motor Company host this car show each year that brings hundreds of folks together for a day of car fun. This year was no exception as a record 28 Vipers made it to this event. IL Club members came from all over - Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois! The Vipers had special seating on the concrete while all other show cars were on the grass. A great view!

The club erected it's three large tents and everyone lounged among the Vipers as the day went on. Lots of visitors perused the Vipers, eyes as wide as can be. They create a spectacle wherever they go. A cool breeze kept everyone fresh throughout the day and concessions were on hand if you got hungry and thirsty.

The day ended around 3:30pm with awards. The Viper Club had its own class but also participated in the top 30 and specialty classes - taking home several more overall awards!

The day was fantastic and relaxing. We thank John Gastman for hosting the event! We'll most certainly come visit again next year!
