The Viper owner populous is a vast group, but one thing we can surely be classified as... car guys! We enjoy any activity that involves horsepower, cruising, or burning rubber!

SRT Track Experience
April 29/30, 2006

On Saturday, April 29, 2006, at Arlington Park (www.arlingtonpark.com), located at 2200 W. Euclid in Arlington Heights, SRT, the performance line of Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep, has put together a first class driving experience!  Participants will get the chance to get behind the wheel of the sporty Chrysler Crossfire SRT 6, the performance-packed Dodge Magnum SRT 8, the ultra-powerful Dodge Ram SRT 10 and the awe-inspiring Dodge Viper SRT 10.

This special VIP driving event will include instruction and guidance from the professionals at the Skip Barber Driving School. People that sign up will drive each one of these vehicles on a series of autocross, acceleration and slalom courses which will give them an idea of these vehicles’ incredible performance potential in a safe environment.  And here’s the best part—it only costs $20 for anyone to participate!

We’re confident that once your friends or relatives experience these SRT vehicles, it will change how they feel about performance driving altogether.

We really appreciate your help in getting the word out. Please let your friends or relatives know that, to register, they need to send an e-mail to registration@srttrackexperience.com or call toll free at 800-998-1110. They’ll need to hurry, because space is limited and since it only costs $20 to participate, these sessions are bound to fill up soon. Please be sure to tell them to include their name, address, phone number and credit card information.  They’ll also need to tell us if they want to be scheduled for the 9:00, 10:00 or 11:00 a.m. program.  The overall program will last about 3 hours.

Car show for Mopars held at Naperville High School (Ogden ave and Mill St).

As to the classes, we have 33 classes .... approx 11 classes for modern cars, that include Front drivers, and Vipers, Prowlers, new 300's and Chargers (Magnums) those 11 classes will be determined on the day of the show, based upon attendance. So Come out and have fun, tell your friends about the show!

Dollars, 4 ways to enjoy this show:

$30.00 Judged class, limited to 10 cars, best of the best competing against each other, judged by a team of knowledgeable CMC ers, Cash prize

$15.00 Regular trophy class, competes in class for 100 trophy's(33 classes 1st, 2nd, 3rd plus other "special" awards)

$10.00 Diamonds in the Rough, for cars that are not interested in competition , but must pass my personal scrutiny as to Diamond worthy (not too nice) Winners 3, get nice prizes from Bill Kay parts department.

$10.00 Display only, need to leave early, have enough trophies?, want to park out of class near your buddy? this is for you.!

5th Annual Shelby Fest
June 3, 2006

Carroll Shelby will host the Volo Auto Museum's 5th Annual Shelby Car Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 3, 2006. The show will feature a live band, beer garden, pig roast, as well as dash plaques and trophies autographed by Carroll Shelby. Adult admission is $15. Special rates are available for children, seniors, active military and veterans. Register your car below to participate in the show - there is a limit of 250 cars. Last year's event was a sell out. All registration proceeds benefit Carroll Shelby Children's Foundation.

Print and complete the registration form below and send it with a check or money order to the Volo Auto Museum, 27582 W. Volo Village Road, Volo, IL 60073 or call (815) 385-3644 with your Visa or MasterCard information. In the event of rain, Carroll Shelby will appear indoors at the museum. If any spots remain, registration will be $5 more on the day of the event.

IFI/Dodge Viper Celebrity Golf Outing with Tom Dreesen

The Viper Club of Illinois was invited to bring several cars to create a display for the 8th celebrity golf fundraiser for the Illinois Fatherhood Initiative. The location was the Biltmore Country Club in Barrington, Illinois. Several Viper owners rose to the occasion and drove their Vipers out to create a stunning display of horse power around the evening cocktail reception patio. In attendance were veteran Viper Club members Glenn Davis, Tom Shapiro, Jhan Dolphin, Denise Braun, Alex Ristanovic, and Howie Frank. Roanoke Motor Company was one of the sponsors at the event and several of their employees joined in on the fun. Mark Giannotta from Viper Magazine was also in attendance for pictures and to prep for an article in the next Viper Quarterly.
